Food Safety Training for Colorado Cottage Food Producers
Colorado State University Extension is now offering trainings to acquire a 3 year certification.
Training provides information in:
- Foods permissible in Colorado’s Cottage Food Act
- Ingredient labeling requirements
- Basic food safety – including proper hygiene; preventing cross contamination and cross contact of foods allergens; temperature control for food preparation, storage , transport and sales.
- Special considerations for food preparation at altitude.
