Food Safety Training for Colorado Cottage Food Producers

Colorado State University Extension is now offering trainings to acquire a 3 year certification.

Training provides information in:

  • Foods permissible in Colorado’s Cottage Food Act
  • Ingredient labeling requirements
  • Basic food safety – including proper hygiene; preventing cross contamination and cross contact of foods allergens; temperature control for food preparation, storage , transport and sales.
  • Special considerations for food preparation at altitude.
