Registration is open for the “Growing Mind Dorms” at the state fair in Pueblo, Co. These dorms are located on the state fairgrounds and are available to 4-H families to stay during the state fair.
Registration is in 4HOnline ONLY! These reservations are first come, first serve and are filling up!

Livestock
IMPORTANT NEWS – A FIVE (5) DAY HEALTH INSPECTION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL LIVESTOCK COMING TO THE FAIR! EVERY PRECAUTION IS BEING TAKEN TO PREPARE THE BARNS AND GROUNDS FOR THE LIVESTOCK SHOWS AND WE BELIEVE THE RISK IS MINIMAL FOR LIVESTOCK INFECTIONS. For more information on VSV and what you can do to prepare to come to the Colorado State Fair, visit the Colorado Department of Agriculture Animal Health page.
Livestock entries for CO State Fair are due JULY 31ST (postmarked or online). Late entries will not be accepted.

Exhibitors should read the “What’s New in Livestock for 2019” under General Information as well as all rules and regulations and information on parking and passes.
4H/FFA exhibitors are allowed to buy only 1 discounted gate pass wristband. If additional passes are purchased for family and friends – they MUST be the Livestock Exhibitor wristbands. Any additional 4H/FFA wristbands purchased will be charged the full price of an Exhibitor wristband and will be collected prior to receiving credentials.
Livestock exhibitors are responsible for their own bedding, entry does not include bedding. Bedding may be purchased at the time of entry or exhibitors may bring in their own bedding. Straw may only be used for bedding for Dairy Cattle, Dairy Goats, Breeding Sheep and Open/Junior Breeding Cattle tie-outs (Market Beef do not go to tie-outs). Exhibitors should read the complete bedding information under General Livestock Competition Requirements or specific show information.

Entries will be due (postmarked) on July 31, 2019. Late entries WILL NOT be accepted.
Unloading of Small Animals (rabbits and poultry) will be permitted through Gate 1 with some restrictions. Further information on this change will be posted at a later date and will be explained on Acknowledgement Cards sent to exhibitors.
Exhibitors should read and be familiar with all competition requirements and specific rules associated with the breed show(s) entered.

Market Rabbit and Poultry Shows
The Market Meat Pen Rabbit and Poultry shows are open to all 4-H and FFA members from the State of Colorado. These exhibitors will compete to be named the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Market Meat Pen and qualify to sell their animals in the prestigious Junior Livestock Sale to be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019.
Market Poultry entries must have been nominated through Exhibitor’s 4-H Extension Office. Market entries which have not been nominated are ineligible to show and entries will be returned to the Exhibitor.
Market Exhibitors must read and be familiar with all Colorado State Fair General, Small Animal and Livestock Competition Requirements. Exhibitors should continue to check the Health Requirements often prior to arriving at the Colorado State Fair in the event of updates from the Colorado State Veterinarian’s Office. 4-H Horse Show
Announcement: The 4-H State Horse Show at Colorado State Fair is changing the health requirements for horses:

All horses must have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (“CVI”).

CVIs must be provided to the Colorado State Fair Officials at time of arrival
and:
a. Must be dated no more than 5 daysfrom the date of arrival;
b. Must identify each animal individually.
The Colorado State Fair is proud to be the host site for the 4-H State Championship Youth Show. Equine enthusiasts ages 8-18 are invited to compete in four different types of disciplines: Ranch Horse, Gymkhana, English, and/or Western. Competitors will be competing within their individual age groups for premium money, class awards, and High Point Awards. All Youth that participate in this event must be members of a county 4-H Horse Program; as well as, follow all guidelines, procedures, and rules set forth by the individual counties in order to be an eligible competitor at the 4-H State Championship Show.

Ranch Horse Exhibitors if you horse is Ranching Heritage bred you will be eligible for the AQHA High Point Ranch Horse Award, please see information below on this award.
