CSU Extension El Paso County Advisory Committee

The El Paso County Volunteer Program is a wonderful opportunity for citizens to learn about the various functions of county government as well as give back to the community.

The El Paso County Board of Commissioners is seeking community-minded citizen volunteers to serve on the CSU Extension Advisory Committee. Visit El Paso County to learn more about these opportunities to serve on the Advisory Committee. Or call 719-520-6436.

The CSU Extension Advisory Committee promotes, advocates, and supports the local Extension programs and staff by developing and implementing a strong marketing strategy that results in educating community officials and providing information flow between county citizens and Extension.  Members  are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners for three-year terms:  two each representing Youth Development (4-H),  Family and Consumer Science, Home Horticulture, and Local Food Systems.

Keeping ahead of COVID-19

This rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) has imposed an unsettling, fluid situation upon our community and its businesses. While the team here still aims to maintain a “business as usual” approach, we are making a number of significant changes to our operations to account for a situation that is far from normal.
